Science Fiction is a genre that has deep roots in the beginnings of cinema. Georges Melies's A Trip to the Moon (1902) is one of the earliest and most recognizable films to date. It set an out-of-this-world standard for the genre that continues to be met over 100 years later. With the new age comes a new flare to science fiction with complex stories, compelling effects, and extensive worldbuilding which brings viewers to the new realm. At Cinemablography, several authors have been inspired to write many articles about science fiction over the years.
